The Mystery Teachings – first steps for beginners

If I was asked to describe exactly what the Mystery Teachings were about in just eight words, I would say: “The Marriage of the Sun and the Moon”. You might wonder why that is such a crucial topic to be understood on the road to wisdom and enlightenment. Well, it’s because the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon is the crux of everything that moves on Earth, in the Heavens … and even in the Underworld of our dreams.

But so what, you might ask? Well, it is vital because until you understand this crucial key to the creation of which you are a part, you will be forever stumbling around in the dark.

The Marriage of the Sun and the Moon is also known as the Sacred Marriage, the Alchemical Marriage, the Hieros Gamos and the Vesica Piscis. The honeymoon of this marriage births the Radiant Child, otherwise known as the Holy Grail. It is also the Philosopher’s Stone that turns everything it touches into gold. So if you would like to begin on this path of study by engaging with these Mystery Teachings, can I make some recommendations?

My books provide two different ways to get started, because while some people just like a rollicking-good, wild ride of a tale – and there’s nothing wrong that – others prefer sensible, calm, straight data. I have catered for both styles, so if you’re still with me, let’s get going:

The relaxed, meandering way

If you want to take the “rollicking good tale” route, and become inspired in your dreams by the coded magical keys, symbols and metaphors hidden in mytho-poetic romantic adventures, I suggest that you read The Bright World of the Gods first, and then The Grail Mysteries.

Both of these novels are ideal for curling up with by a blazing log fire in winter, or under an old sprawling apple tree in summer, and can be enjoyed purely as tantalising tales for their entertainment value alone. That is because while you’re relaxing into an enchanted forest in your mind, your subconscious will do all the hard work for you, picking up on the symbols and metaphors buried in the dark, tangled briars of the understory, and then bringing their meanings into your dreams at night to give you the golden keys to the wisdom of ages.

To be fair, this is how most people have always progressed in these Mystery teachings  – or at least they used to, before all those who knew how to weave a magical story were banished from the land.

The stories are set in 5th century Glastonbury, and chart the progress of women as they awaken to their innate capacity for sacred shamanic love through the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon.

While the subject matter of shamanic or spiritual sexuality may be new to you, you will also find these books give you a familiarly cosy read because they contain easily recognisable adventures and characters from Celtic and Arthurian myths such as Merlin, Manawyddan, Gwyn ap Nudd, Arianrhod, Gwyddion and Taliesin.

The straight King’s Highway

However, if you would prefer to consciously unravel the meanings of the symbols and metaphors found in ancient myths, my theoretical works are straightforward, no- nonsense accounts that explain these Mystery Teachings in a stepped way using plain, every-day language with easy-to-understand diagrams.

So if this approach is better suited to your style of learning, I suggest that you begin with Stories in the Stars, because it contains the seedbed thinking for the rest of my books, and it will give you some good foundational cognitive blocks to build upon.

In Stories in the Stars, you will learn that ancient myths are like Trojan horses in that they carry our ancestors’ voices with spiritual messages that they buried in astrological and alchemical metaphors. Over thousands of years, these orally-transmitted wisdom stories have been twisted and bastardised into fake histories in order to serve various and changing political imperatives.

However, our ancestors were wise enough to draw these myths out in the stars, because while political mindsets will ever dictate the ebb and flow of the tides of man on the world stage, the stars are always with us.

Once I’ve taught you how to decode these stories so that they “speak to you” in your own life, you will be able to understand better the ancient path that been trodden for countless millennia towards spiritual enlightenment, and you will feel bolstered and heartened with reliable data as you go forwards.

The vital knowledge about the Divine Marriage is hidden in this verse from Genesis 6:1-4 :-

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the Earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose…

There were giants in the Earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

From Urania’s Mirror by Sidney Hall

To the Bible literalist or the science fiction fan, this Bible passage sounds like giant ETs coming to Earth from other planets and impregnating the human females. But for those who have the eyes to see, it is really about the implosion of divine energies that are the result of the interdimensional coupling of the Alchemical Marriage that births the Radiant Child, which is not a human baby but the gift of the Sovereignty of the land.

The “men of renown” of Genesis are the heroes who the mythologist Joseph Campbell wrote about in his The Hero with a Thousand Faces. This archetypical dragon and lion slaying champion appears in innumerable ancient myths of diverse cultures worldwide, under different names.

From Urania’s Mirror by Sidney Hall

Our courageous champion is born as the Radiant Child on the Winter Solstice before growing into maturity and then setting off on his adventures.

You will hear more about the birth of this Radiant Child in Stories in the Summerlands, in which I guide you along a pilgrimage into the secret, hidden places of esoteric Avalon in Somerset, England.

This book will give you a deeper understanding about the relevance to your spiritual evolution of the metaphysical symbols of the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon, which have been impregnated into the land itself, to remind us, where the constellations, or the “giants” of Genesis, have “fallen”.

The Mists of Avalon by Deer Leap from the Mendip Hills

The Welsh have long referred to south-west Britain as Loegres, or the Lost Lands, after they were banished by successive waves of Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Norman invaders, who pushed them ever westwards. Their last shaman was the 6th century bard Taliesin, whose songs lament the fact that the vital magical lore was rapidly vanishing from awareness during his lifetime. When mystics like him sang about the land, it referred as much to our inner cognitive heaths, hills and vales as the outer turf and soil, and that if we should lose Sovereignty over our own inner lands, as sure as night follows day, we will lose our domain without too.

Fortunately, the kernel of this wisdom has been preserved within various art forms as the Holy Grail by successive waves of Druids, Templars, Rosicrucians, Dragon Clans and Freemasons – who are known collectively as the Grailkeepers.

After reading Stories in the Summerlands, you will become more adept at reading the occulted messages that our Druidic ancestors encoded into sacred sites, such as Stonehenge, which can still be appreciated today in the abbeys and churches. And you will also know the real, secret location of Arthur’s grave, from which he is already rising again.

Now you understand the importance of the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon to fertility and sovereignty, and you know where the story of the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon has been carved into the land in royal Avalon to preserve the sovereignty of kings, you are ready to go on to the third branch of these Mystery Teachings, and it is how the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon is practised within the human form.

In The Sacred Sex Rites of Ishtar you will discover an ancient shamanic practice that has been kept secret for many a millennia, and only revealed to the chosen few. It is about how sexual ecstasy is a powerful spiritual force that is achieved through the holy sacrament of the Divine Marriage, which is the crux of fertility.

You will form a cognitive basis for understanding its role in history through the erotic poetry, paintings and engravings from ancient Egypt, Crete, India, Sumer and Babylon I show you. They were used in Kingship rites that sparked the serpent energies within the newly-crowned ruler, to ignite his pineal gland or third eye, and thus give him the insight and wisdom to rule his land.

In this book, I reveal the metaphysical anatomy of the human being, and then disclose the previously secret techniques of shamanic sex magic, so that you will be able to practise them yourself today.

It is a holistic and holographic teaching which, I hope you’ll find, neatly completes and deepens the wisdom you have gained from the stories that were drawn in the stars and the stories that were engraved in the land of summer.
