The repeal and replacement of the chillingly Orwellian-titled Obamacare could happen within weeks if President Elect Trump’s plan comes to fruition, despite wilier types advising him just to stand back and let the [Un]Affordable Care Act implode on itself and splatter egg all over the faces of Obama and the Democrats.
The patient, Obamacare, is already in terminal decline and the prognosis is that death is imminent. So the politician who is only interested in point scoring would just wait for its end – but Donald Trump is not a politician, and he knows how bad that outcome would be for the people.
“Obamacare is the Democrats’ problem,” Trump said at a press conference on Wednesday. “But we’re going to take the problem off the shelves for them. We’re doing them a tremendous service by doing it. We could sit back and let them hang with it.”
As he told a press conference on Wednesday, he couldn’t just let that happen, because so many Americans are going broke in paying their premiums, which are going through the roof. And even then, after struggling to pay the premiums, they can’t use their healthcare plans because the deductibles are so high.
Obamacare has been an utter disgrace and its creators should be hanging their heads in shame, not awarding themselves medals.
“Obamacare is a complete and total disaster,” said President Elect Donald Trump. “It’s imploding as we sit here. Some states are demanding a 100 per cent increase in premiums. I said this two years ago: 2017 is going to be the bad year. It’s going to be catastrophic.
“Frankly we could sit back and it was a thought, from a political standpoint … but it wouldn’t be fair to the people. We could sit back and wait and watch and criticise it …and people would come, they would come begging to us, ‘please, we have to do something about Obamacare.’
“So the easiest thing would be to let it implode in 2017 and believe me, we would get pretty much whatever we wanted. But it would take a long time.”
Instead …
“We’re going to be submitting as soon as our Secretary’s approved – almost simultaneously or shortly thereafter – a plan,” said President Elect Trump. “It will simultaneously repeal and replace Obamacare. It will be in various segments, you understand, but will most likely be on the same day, or the same week, but probably the same day – could be the same hour.
“So we’re going to repeal and replace very complicated stuff. We’re going to get a health bill passed and we’re going to get health care taken care of in this country.”
